I am a Certified Specialist in Criminal Law (Fachanwalt für Strafrecht) and have worked as a criminal defense lawyer for more than two decades. Several thousand cases concluded at every level of the courts — from the local and regional courts through the Higher Regional Courts up to the Federal Court of Justice and the Federal Constitutional Court.
Criminal defense is not a reactive routine, but active, strategic work for the client — from the first phone call to the final appeal.
Criminal law only. No family or civil law, no general practice. This focus translates into a depth of expertise that clients feel in critical situations.

of criminal defense
The Federal Constitutional Court (Bundesverfassungsgericht, BVerfG) in Karlsruhe is Germany's highest court for constitutional questions. Its decisions bind all other courts. Constitutional complaints are among the most demanding proceedings in German law — only a fraction are even accepted for decision. I have handled five such proceedings successfully — with eight decisions in favor of the complainants; some for my own clients, some as the author of the complaint for colleagues.
